Core Extruding Plugs come in two (2) sizes to fit standard Polycarbonate Core Barrels:

• 71 mm diameter size for use with 68 mmid (2 5/8”) x 71 mmod (2 ¾”) Core Barrel, used with Universal Corer, Icelandic Piston, Discrete Point Piston, and Gravity (NLA) Corer

• 100 mm diameter size for use with 95 mmid (3 ¾”) x 100 mmod (4.0”) Core Barrel, used with Lage Bore Universal Corer

• Core Extruding Plugs are used in conjunction with Poly End Caps to allow leakproof transportation of intact core samples

• Insert Core Extruding Plug inside Core Barrel before lifting aboard to avoid loss of core sample

• Core Extruding Plugs are used in conjunction with the Core Extruding Apparatus
